when i was talking on xbox live with my friends yesterday someone said “hey lets play call of duty world at war!” and so everyone in the party (except me) started to play call of duty. i don’t have the game so i just played GTA 4 for awhile until it got boring because everyone else was playing Call of duty. i have played WaW at one of my friends houses but it was split screen so idk if it was as fun as online with 6 other people. so is it worth buying? because i kinda want to play with my friends. I have been getting “violation notices” in my e-mail, and I’m pretttyyy sure I didn’t really violate anything. I was in the Polls And Surveys section, trying to have fun with people. I had people type their names with their elbow, nose, or tongue, each in different questions. And I asked if I needed to get a life for a question (since one rude person told me I had to, after posting a game in that section.) Anyways, do you guys think it’s fair? What could be causing it? It’s all for fun and games, but Y!A doesn’t seem to get it. People wanna have fun, too, and not be completely serious all the time, y’know?

When I first got with my bf, he didn’t care about videogames. Then he started talking about getting a Wii so we could have something fun to do together (which I thought would be cool). Then his parents bought him an XBox 360 for his birthday along with a game. Since then, all he wants to do and talks about is his damn XBox!
We got it in July, and since then I’ve noticed our relationship has taken a steep downturn. At first we both thought it would be fun to get games that we’d both enjoy together, but nooo… it turns out that my boyfriend and I have different interests in games. He bought a bunch of those RPG and war type games and I **** those. I like racing games and Guitar Hero, which he hates. Not only that, but we are tight on money and he keeps buying crap to have a better gaming experience AKA HD widescreen tv, a new wireless router so cords aren’t stretched from the Xbox to the computer, more and more games, newer controllers, ETC! Then he complains about not having any money.
He keeps trying to get me into his games but I’ve made it clear I don’t like them, but he won’t buy the games I like. Also, I’ve tried to just ignore him when he plays and do my own thing until he was done, which has been alright, except if I don’t express that him playing for 8+ hours at a time bothers me, he doesn’t even notice and will keep playing thinking I don’t mind! Oh yeah, then when HE finally decides to quit he wants me to give him attention and gets pissed if I don’t.
Honestly, I really appreciate that he’s trying to get me to do this with him but I am not interested. And I don’t care that he plays. But he spends a lot of time playing, tunes me out when he plays, wastes money we don’t have on little accessories and rediculous games, and when he’s not playing it’s all he seems to talk about. He’s obsessed! I at first was interested in him because he wasn’t interested in gaming, but now I don’t know what to do. Giving an ultimatum isn’t an option because he believes it is his right to play when he wants. I just want to compromise when he doesn’t seem to want to! I’m tired of feeling like a game console has replaced me. Any MATURE advice?
